William McCullough was fortunate in his youth to meet many influential people in the music industry. In 1969, at the age of 18, he was taken under the guidance of Janet Bellamy and Leo Teal and met many country stars of the time. He wrote and performed along with Janet's daughter Gina with notable producers which included Phil York, Judd Phillips (son of Sun Records' Sam Phillips of Elvis Presley fame) and Shelby Singleton. He also chauffered Alta Hayes (also of Elvis Presley fame) to Elvis and Mickey Gilley concerts where he was rewarded with preferential seating and became friends with country stars Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee who both performed on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack.
Suite G Productions was founded as a community co-op in Dallas, Texas in 1975 to provide a way for unknown artists to grow their talents and get exposure to the music industry. A small anlogue studio was established while an affiliate company (Transmedia World Records) was being built to provide recording, publishing, and record distribution services.
Since then the principle goal has remained the same but the services have expanded. In 1980, relocation to California brought Suite G Productions to Contra Costa County and Oakley Soundtracks Recording Studio was established as it's first new offering.
